Dr. Fatima Al Arabi has earned a reputation as a thought leader in global wealth management, Socially Responsible Investments, Impact investing and Islamic finance. She has been sought out to develop and manage global strategies addressing industry 4.0 Fintech challenges and opportunities for global industrial and financial institutions. She has contributed to a number of research initiatives and case studies at three of the most renowned Executive Business Schools, including her work as a strategic advisor to the largest European and Gulf states-based SWFs (sovereign wealth funds).

With nearly 25 years of leadership experience in private banking, Fatima has drawn upon a forward-thinking, holistic approach to wealth planning, corporate M&A deals, and complex asset financing in building long-term relationships of trust with ultra-high-net-worth clients worldwide. Today, as the Founder and President of ALAF CAPITAL SA, she utilizes her understanding of global markets and financial structures, as well as her risk management mindset and expertise in anticipating market trends, in advising individuals and families with dynamic portfolios and complex needs.

Fatima quickly became part of a new era in global wealth management. Earlier in her career, she accepted a position as a Senior Relationship Manager for the National Commercial Bank’s Private Banking division in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Here, she led the launch of the Kingdom’s first private banking business dedicated exclusively to high-net-worth women. She was consistently recruited to build and manage thriving private banking businesses—with a focus on wealth management and high-net-worth investors, serving in leadership positions with The Pictet Group, Citibank EMEA, BNP Paribas Private, Bank of China (Suisse SA), and Bank Julius Baer. In each position, she has played an important role in shaping the bank’s go-to-market strategy for Gulf and eastern Mediterranean markets.
